🇬🇧 English : The station was part of the famous Alcoy–Gandía narrow-gauge railway, nicknamed “El Tren dels Anglesos”. The station building was constructed around 1894. L'Orxa played an important role in freight transport, with paper, wine, oil and agricultural products transported by rail.
The station had a waiting room, ticket office, water tank and goods platform, as well as several smaller buildings for facilities including a canteen.
Opposite the former L'Orxa railway station stands an abandoned hotel or recreational complex. The site also has a swimming pool and tennis court. The building is located directly beside the route of the former Alcoy–Gandía narrow-gauge railway, which closed in 1969.
