🇳🇱 Nederlands : Het is een mausoleum en grafkelder ernaast. Deze is gebouwd in 1895 door architect Albrecht Haupt. De mausoleum is een onderdeel voor het grote Schloss Varchentin. De grafkasten van de familie werden geplaatst in de "gruft". Alleen na 1945 is alles geplunderd. Zowel de gruft en het mausoleum. De laatste familie heeft gewoond in het kasteel tot 1945.
Het kasteel wordt nu verbouwd en gerestaureerd.
🇬🇧 English : This is a mausoleum with a burial crypt beside it, built in 1895 and designed by architect Albrecht Haupt. The mausoleum was part of the large Schloss Varchentin estate.Members of the family were laid to rest in the crypt (Gruft). After 1945, both the crypt and the mausoleum were looted. The last members of the family lived at the château until 1945.
Today, Schloss Varchentin is being renovated and restored.
