🇳🇱 Nederlands : De oorsprong gaat terug tot de 12e eeuw. De abdij werd gesticht door Giraud/Gérard de Salles en lag aan een route die gebruikt werd door pelgrims richting Santiago de Compostela. Het complex omvatte onder andere de kerk, château, opslaggebouwen, wijnkelder/chai, molen en voormalige stallen. Het hele complex was sterk vervallen, maar in 2026 krijg de abdij een nieuwe eigenaar en die heeft de omheining gerestaureerd.
Er wordt gesproken dat er een restaurant / hotel zal komen.
🇬🇧 English : The origins of the abbey date back to the 12th century. It was founded by Giraud/Gérard de Salles and was located along a route used by pilgrims travelling to Santiago de Compostela.
The complex included the church, château, storage buildings, wine cellar (chai), mill and former stables. The entire complex had fallen into serious decay, but in 2026 the abbey came under new ownership, and the new owner restored the surrounding wall.
There are plans to transform the site into a restaurant and hotel.
