🇳🇱 Nederlands : De locomotief begon haar leven als 50 334. Ze werd door Henschel in Kassel gebouwd en in 1940 aan de Deutsche Reichsbahn geleverd. In 1958 werd ze in het Reichsbahnausbesserungswerk Stendal grondig gereconstrueerd en kreeg ze het nummer 50 3521. Vanaf 1970 droeg ze het nummer : 50 3521-7.Het is een zogenaamde Rekolok van de Baureihe 50.35: een zware stoomlocomotief die vooral voor goederentreinen werd gebruikt. In 1989 werd ze omgebouwd tot een niet meer zelfstandig rijdende Heizlok — feitelijk een grote stationaire stoom-/warmteproducent. Ze werd eerst in Templin en later in Pasewalk gebruikt. In 1992 werd ze definitief buiten dienst gesteld.

🇬🇧 English : The locomotive began its life as 50 334. It was built by Henschel in Kassel and delivered to the Deutsche Reichsbahn in 1940.In 1958, it was extensively rebuilt at the Reichsbahnausbesserungswerk in Stendal and was given the number 50 3521. From 1970, it carried the number 50 3521-7.
It is a so-called Rekolok of the Baureihe 50.35, a heavy steam locomotive mainly used for freight trains. In 1989, it was converted into a non-operational Heizlok, essentially becoming a stationary source of steam and heat. It was first used in Templin and later in Pasewalk. In 1992, it was finally withdrawn from service.
The building next to the locomotive is now the Eisenbahnromantik Hotel BR 50.
